            The run-up to D-Day

At the entrance to the military hall, you will find a large glass facade with comic drawings by Teun Berserik. The scene, which is 20 meters long and 5 meters high, shows the preparations for D-day. From the precautionary draft in the USA, in 1940, until the actual landing itself, you will get a comprehensive overview of the wide range of actions taken in order to make the invasion successful. This huge drawing, in a typical Hergé style, offers the perfect setting to start your tour through the main hall.
