Frequently Asked Questions
Can I enter with a Dutch Museum Card or ICOM card?
Militracks is an event organized by Oorlogsmuseum Overloon. Unfortunately, an event like Militracks does not meet the regulations of the Dutch Museum Association, which means they cannot provide reimbursement for each scanned Dutch Museum Card, as is the case with a regular visit. Therefore, Dutch Museum Cards cannot be used during Militracks. That said, Militracks offers a truly unique experience for all visitors. An ICOM card is also not valid.
Can I buy a ride-along ticket in advance?
For Militracks 2025, it was possible for the first time to purchase an admission ticket that included one ride-along ticket. As soon as we know what will be available for Militracks 2026, we will share the details here.
Pre-sale ride-along tickets are only valid for wheeled vehicles, Maulier, and Zugmaschinen - in the first available vehicle! Ride-along tickets for Kettenkrads and special vehicles can only be purchased during the event, on-site, depending on availablility. Prices vary depending on the vehicle type. If additional availability arises for wheeled vehicles, Maultier, and Zugmaschinen, these tickets will also be sold on-site during the event.
How do ride-along tickets work this year?
Throughout the event, additional ride-along tickets will become available for Category A (wheeled vehicles, Maultiers, and Zugmachines), Kettenkrads, armoured vehicles, and specials as capacity allows. For the first time, you no longer need to wait in line at the ticket counter. Digital screens around the venue will display QR codes that you can scan with your smartphone to purchase tickets when they become available.
Prefer not to pay via your phone? As long as supplies last, tickets will also be available at the ride-along counter. You will receive a ticket (via e-mail or printed at the counter) with a QR code, which will be scanned at the entrance gate of your purchased ticket category. You'll the ride in the next available vehicle in that category.
Can I get permission to film or take photos inside the restricted area?
No, the organization does not grant access to the area inside the barriers for filming or photography. It is also not allowed to gain access to this restricted area through participants.
The only camera operators allowed inside are those officially designated by the organization in advance.
I have (part of) a uniform. Am I allowed to wear it?
We kindly ask everyone not to wear uniforms, regardless of their unit or background. German uniforms, helmets, and/or Nazi symbols are absolutely not allowed under any circumstances. In case of doubt, the organization will decide, and you may be asked to change before being allowed onto the grounds.
Is the museum open? Can I visit just the museum?
Yes, museum access is included in the event's admission price. For this reason, it is not possible to purchase a museum-only ticket or gain access to the grounds and museum using other forms (e.g., Museum Card, Friends Card, ANWB pass, etc.).
Can I visit Militracks using public transport?
No buses run to and from the Overloon War Museum on weekends, including during Militracks. However, you can rent an OV-fiets (public transport bicycle) at Vierlingsbeek or Boxmeer train station. Please check availability before departure. For all information on OV-fiets rentals, visit www.ns.nl/deur-tot-deur/ov-fiets. Please note: To rent an OV-fiets, you must have an OV-chipkaart.
Are accessible parking spaces available?
Yes, a limited number of parking spaces are available for visitors with an official blue disability parking permit. As long as spaces are available, you will be allowed to park in the area directly in front of the museum park.
Please note that the number of spaces is limited. Also, Militracks is an outdoor event, and only part of the paths in the park are paved. It's good to take this into account when planning your visit.
Can I bring my dog to Militracks?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Militracks, as long as they are kept on a leash. Please keep in mind that the event can be very busy and that there is quite a bit of noise from the vehicles in some areas. This might make Militracks less enjoyable for dogs. Of course, you know your dog best, so you can decide whether a visit is suitable. Make sure your dog gets enough water, as the terrain is sandy and can get very dusty, especially in dry weather.
Is the new D-DEX experience open during Militracks?
During Militracks, you can visit the new D-DEX experience in the museum only with a reservation. Due to limited capacity, access to D-DEX during Militracks is only possible with a pre-booked ticket. We strongly recommend arriving at the D-DEX entrance as early as possible within your reserved time slot to ensure entry.
When is Militracks 2026 going to be?
Next year, Militracks will be on May 16-17. Ticket sales will probably start in February 2026. So, see you next year!
