Framo V501

The Framo V501 was a light delivery van from the Saxon town of Hainichen, built by the company of DKW founder Jørgen Rasmussen. Powered by an air-cooled 500cc DKW two-stroke engine, this compact workhorse could carry three-quarters of a ton of cargo. Nearly 6,000 units served with the Wehrmacht during the war on virtually all fronts. The V501 was the predecessor of the later East German brands IFA and Barkas. This particular example dates from 1941.
