Leichter Schützenpanzerwagen Sd.Kfz. 250

The Sd.Kfz. 250 was the Wehrmacht's light armoured half-track, designed to carry a half-section of infantry in the wake of advancing armour. The vehicle was based on the Demag D7p chassis and offered protection against small-arms fire and shell splinters. From October 1943 onwards, the complex multi-plate hull of the early version was replaced by a simplified design using flat armour panels — the so-called 'neue Ausführung'. Production was carried out by Demag, Büssing-NAG, MWC and Adlerwerke; a total of 6,628 vehicles were built across twelve official variants.
