Marder III Sd.Kfz. 138

This original Marder III Ausf. M was discovered thirty years ago in several sections at a scrap yard in Trun (Normandy). The chassis number remains clearly visible on the lower front hull, near the drive sprocket. Manufactured in 1943, it features the bolted and riveted construction typical of that year, prior to the transition to an all-welded hull in 1944. The vehicle has a notable history in cinema, having been featured in numerous war films. For sequences with explosives, such as those in Saving Private Ryan, a replica gun and hull sides were temporarily fitted to protect the original structure. Today, the vehicle has been fully restored and consists of 100% original parts.
