Opel Admiral AD 38

The Opel Admiral AD 38 was Opel's flagship model and widely used as a staff car at higher command levels. This example, a four-door cabriolet in Panzer Grey, served as the staff car of Generalfeldmarschall von Manstein. The vehicle was abandoned during the retreat from Kiev after becoming stuck in mud. In the 1990s it returned to Germany, where it stood in a barn near Dortmund until two years ago. At Militracks, it will appear with the pennants of an Army Group Commander-in-Chief and a Commanding Officer. Restoration of this vehicle is nearly complete — photo to follow shortly.
