Steyr 1500A Kfz. 21 Kommandeurwagen
The Steyr 1500A Kfz. 21 Kommandeurwagen was the staff car version of the versatile Steyr 1500A. While the standard variant served as a troop carrier, the Kfz. 21 was fitted out as a command vehicle for senior officers: four doors, a collapsible roof, a more luxurious interior and a radio transmitter. From 1943 it increasingly replaced the older Kfz. 11 and Kfz. 12 staff cars. Its air-cooled Steyr V8 engine producing 85 hp made it equally dependable in the Russian cold and the North African heat.
