Ordnance QF 25-pounder


This Ordnance QF 25-pounder howitzer is on display in the museum. The round disc beneath the gun is a rotating platform, which allowed the gun to be easily adjusted to the left or right. QF stands for Quick Fire. This type was widely used during and after the Second World War, including in the Battle of Overloon.
