Studebaker US6
About 200,000 Studebaker US6 trucks were built. The museum has two examples: one fitted out as a mobile workshop, and another as a tractor unit with a 7‑ton Reliance trailer. Yet these vehicles are rarely seen elsewhere. Thanks to their enclosed cab (with heating), they were well suited for the harsh winter conditions of the Eastern Front. For that reason, large numbers were supplied to the Red Army under the Lend‑Lease agreement. Remarkably, some of these Studebakers were fitted in Russia with a Katyusha rocket launcher — a combination not seen in action on the Allied Western Front.
