Sturmgeschütz III

The StuG III was a German mechanized assault gun from World War II, built on the chassis of the Panzer III. Initially designed to support infantry with direct fire, the StuG III soon became a highly effective anti-tank weapon as enemy armor evolved. Its low profile, powerful gun, and relatively straightforward production made it Germany’s most-produced armored vehicle. Both StuG III vehicles in our museum are on private loan—our sincere gratitude to their owners.
