● Take a seat behind the wheel of a Nekaf Jeep
Experience the nostalgia of the Nekaf Jeep. Get behind the wheel of the iconic Dutch jeep from days gone by this holiday (again). Take a close look at it and take a cool photo behind the wheel.
*Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
● Frontline Conversations - Ask all your questions to a veteran
A veteran tells a story of a few minutes based on objects. Learn more about what a veteran experienced during a mission, what equipment he used, and how things went during a mission. There is plenty of room for questions, so engage in a conversation with a veteran.
*Check the schedule above to see when the veteran is present. Frontline conversations take place from 12:30 to 2:00 PM.
● Weapon Days
Did you know that the museum has an enormous collection of weapons? During the weapon days, you have the unique opportunity to learn all about them. Our firearms team will explain everything about the weapons used during WWII. The weapons have been deactivated and may only be held under supervision.
*On Wednesday, May 1st and Wednesday, May 8th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
● Free Guided Tours
Our knowledgeable guides will take you on a journey through the history of the Second World War every day starting from April 27th at 1:00 PM. A tour lasts approximately one hour and is suitable for children as well; our guides adapt to the needs of the group.
● Visit the immense military hall and see the collection of more than 180 military vehicles, including the huge BARC measuring 28 meters long and 7 meters high and the Horsa glider.
● Are you coming by bike? Then take a look at the museum on arrival from the bicycle bridge, which runs right through the museum and continue your route through the park over a real Bailey bridge.
● See the immense Lancaster pavilion and the Air War exhibit.
