A Summer Full of Activities for All Ages
Monday | Frontline Conversations
Meet our veterans and talk to them about their experiences. Ask all your questions, try on a military helmet and flak vest, and discover just how heavy military equipment really is. How many push-ups can you do while wearing the equipment?
Every Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Our veterans also speak English and German.

Tuesday and Wednesday | Free treasure hunt
Become an investigator and explore even more of the museum's collection. Can you solve all the questions? Pick up your treasure hunt at the reception.

Thursday | Open Car Park
Climb into and onto a selection of our historic military vehicles, including the Nekaf Jeep, Weasel, Centurion tank, and the impressive BARC.
Every Thursday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Friday | Weapons days
The museum houses an extensive collection of Second World War firearms. During the Weapons days, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn all about them. Our firearms specialists explain the different weapons used during the war and the stories behind them. Can you identify the various weapons without the help of our experts?
Every Friday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Our firearms team also speaks English and German.

Saturday and Sunday | Open Car Park
Our historic military vehicles are also open to visitors during the weekend. Climb into or onto a selection of our vehicles including the Nekaf Jeep, Weasel, Centurion tank, and BARC.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Don't Miss | D-DEX
Experience the Normandy invasion as if you were there. In D-DEX, you'll follow in the footsteps of the soldiers who were among the first to land on Omaha Beach on 6 June 1944. Immerse yourself in a unique experience featuring video, audio, authentic scenery, special effects and original collection pieces. An absolute must-see during your visit!

Take a seat at Museum Café De Vrijheid and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee, a delicious lunch or a tasty treat for the children. Relax on our spacious terrace surrounded by greenery. Simply check in again at reception before continuing your visit.
